From listing to sale.
Listings, enquiries, leads and sale records for every car, with a person deciding at each step. Garage OS keeps the record; it doesn’t send messages or take payments for you.
Listings
- A listing is approved by a person before anyone sees it.
- Approved cars appear on your public stock pages, with an enquiry form. Each enquiry arrives as a lead, and the buyer gets a reference.
- A copy pack for posting by hand on portals such as DoneDeal and Carzone, with the advert’s address recorded afterwards. Garage OS has no connection to the portals.
- When a car is sold, a task reminds you to take its adverts down, and a list shows adverts that failed, have gone stale or are overdue to come down.
Leads
- Website enquiries, and leads you log yourself from a call, a WhatsApp, a walk-in or an email.
- Every lead has a stage: new, contacted, appointment and negotiating, then won or lost, with a reason when it is lost.
- An owner for each lead, follow-ups, and a count of those overdue.
- Calls, messages, notes and test drives recorded on the lead. They record what you did: Garage OS doesn’t send the message.
- Duplicate leads merged, and the car a lead is about linked to it.
- Call and WhatsApp taps on your website counted apart, and never added to your lead totals.
Reservations and sales
- Reservations with a recorded deposit, extended or released.
- A sale record for each car, from agreed to sold, delivered and closed.
- Trade-ins, with the allowance and any outstanding finance, taken into stock as cars of their own.
- The customer’s order form as a PDF.
- Payments and refunds are recorded, never processed. Garage OS doesn’t move money.
For your accountant
- A CSV of sales, recorded payments, supplier invoices and credit notes for any period up to a year.
- A read-only accountant role.
