What happens to the details you give us when you ask for a demo. Version 2026-11-06.
Who we are
GarageOS, Athlone, Westmeath, N37 V1K2, runs this website and decides how these details are used. You can contact us at info@garageos.ie.
What we collect
Through the demo form: your name, your garage or company name, your email address and, if you give them, your phone number, how you’d like to be contacted, the size of your garage, what interests you, and your message. We also keep the date you sent it.
We don’t store your IP address with your request. To limit abuse we count requests against a scrambled form of it for a short time, and our web server’s logs hold it briefly for security.
Why we use it
To answer your request, arrange and hold the demo, and keep a record of our conversation. We do this because you asked us to, as a step before any contract you may choose to enter. You don’t have to give these details, but we can’t arrange a demo without a way to reach you.
We don’t use them for marketing, and we don’t sell them.
Who else handles it
- Cloudflare, which serves and protects this site and runs the security check on the demo form. The check runs on the demo page only and looks at your browser to tell people from bots.
- DigitalOcean in London, United Kingdom (the EU treats UK data protection as equal to its own), which hosts our application and the database where your request is kept.
- Our email provider, once we have one set up, to send you a confirmation and to tell our team about your request.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no advertising or analytics trackers. The Cloudflare check on the demo page may store what it needs to do its job.
How long we keep it
Your name, contact details, message and our notes about you are removed 24 months after the last activity on your request. We keep the bare fact of the request and its dates, with nothing that identifies you. If you become a customer, a separate agreement covers your account.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your details, ask us to correct them, or ask us to remove them, and you can object to how we use them. Write to info@garageos.ie. If you’re unhappy with how we handle your details, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
